Our Quality Services
Island Eye is committed to providing the most sophisticated surgical procedures and advanced treatments available today. In fact, our center is frequently the first on the East Coast, and often in the nation, to offer eye surgeons and their patients the latest, most innovative technology.
Please review our list of services below:
- Cataract Surgery and Intraocular Lens Implantation
Island Eye provides eye surgeons with the most advanced equipment to perform the advanced, “no-stitch,” self-sealing, “micro-incision” cataract surgery with premium intraocular lens implants (IOLs). - Laser Cataract Surgery
In April 2011, Island Eye became the fourth surgical center in the nation and the first on the East Coast to obtain the new LenSx femtosecond laser for laser cataract surgery. The LenSx laser is used to perform many steps in the cataract procedure that were previously done manually. This is truly cutting-edge technology, and Island Eye was among the first in the nation to offer this to their surgeons and patients. - Glaucoma Surgery
Island Eye features the latest laser technologies and other advanced equipment for effective treatment and management of glaucoma. Our eye surgeons frequently use our facility to perform a range of glaucoma procedures to save their patients’ vision. - Cosmetic and Reconstructive Facial Plastic Surgery
Island Eye offers a range of cosmetic facial plastic surgery procedures, including eyelid lift and mid facelift, as well as reconstructive procedures to repair physical damage and improve function and appearance due to disease or traumatic injury. Non-surgical cosmetic treatments, such as laser skin resurfacing, Botox and dermal fillers, are also available. - Corneal Transplantation Surgery
Island Eye is a leader in corneal transplant surgery and a N.Y. State Licensed Tissue Transplantation Facility. We also work closely with the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island. Corneal transplant surgery can save the vision of patients who suffer from complex corneal diseases. Our physicians use the most advanced corneal transplant surgery techniques, including the revolutionary DSAEK procedure.
